Packaging Machine Operator

  • Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator

  • Reports To: Plant Manager
  • Department: Production

 

Summary

Responsible for operating and basic maintenance of filling machine and packaging equipmentwhile ensuring that finalized products are ready for distribution.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Complete machine set up to run a variety of products
  • Operate filling machine and associated packaging equipment according to customer/company specifications
  • Confirm correct product components are at the line prior to production run
  • Collaborate with production team to verify tasks are completed correctly
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with product specifications
  • Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations
  • Clean up equipment and work area after production run
  • Dispose of waste and clean-up materials properly
  • Submit production related paperwork and calculations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of equipment setup techniques
  • Ability to perform basic calculations and recording
  • Ability to use measuring and testing equipment
  • Leadership and relationship building with team is required
  • Packaging machine experience is a plus
  • Self-motivatedand dependable work behavior
  • Good organizational and time management skills

 

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior warehouse or packaging experience.
